The DY357-LX is a custom version of the DY357 Magnum produced by dataDyne. It is a gold-plated revolver with tiger skin grip and an obvious reference to Goldeneye 007's Golden Gun since it also kills enemies (including Skedar) with a single shot. It was created specifically for Trent Easton. However, two of them were also seen in hands of a guard in the mission Maian SOS. It is unknown whether or not this is considered canon, or if Rare just wanted to provide a good target for using the Psychosis Gun on.

The DY357-LX was custom built for NSA director Trent Easton. Besides boasting an attractive genuine tiger skin grip, this golden gun features a velocity-optimized barrel, meaning that each bullet always meets its target with fatal force.
AppearancesEdit
The DY357-LX appears in the Air Force One mission carried by Trent Easton, although there's no way to take it from him. He is also carrying it in Crash Site where it can be taken by disarming him, in which case you have ten rounds; six in the weapon itself and four in reserve. A guard in Maian SOS carries two of them but they only carry one round between them when dropped. The DY357-LX can be seen being dual-wielded with a regular DY357 by Hotshot, an unlockable Buddy.
It also shows up in Combat Simulator Challenge 24.
PrereleaseEdit
Although not related to the DY357-LX itself, Trent Easton carried and dropped a Cougar Magnum from GoldenEye in a prerelease trailer. Joanna is never shown using it in said trailer but a combat simulator shot of it in the player's hands does exist.
TriviaEdit
- Coincidentally, the original Golden Gun from Ian Fleming's novel was a gold-plated revolver.
