Carrington Institute: Defense is the fifteenth level in Perfect Dark. This the only mission where you can get friendly assistants in the form of Carrington Institute guards. They bear AR54s but they don't stand a chance against Datadyne's shieldin', K7 weldin' brutes. However, you can make use of them by harvesting their dropped 54's for your own.

In revenge for the foiling of their grand plan, the Skedar have attacked the source of their troubles, the Carrington Institute. With an organized response out of the question, it falls to Joanna to save what she can of the Institute from total destruction.

Reactivate automatic defense (SA/PA)

Gun 1:
Reactivating the Defenses may be at least confusing the some, this means you'll have to retrace your steps back into the underground tunnels near the Hangars. One terminal is found near one of the guns as you go in from the room adjacant to the Hover-Bike courtyard. Take the left where the Sentry Gun is seen on the right and then take the next right, the terminal should be immediatly on your left as you take the turn.
Gun 2:
Gun 2 is the one protecting one of the entrances into the hangar where Daniel is standing in. The terminal for it is in front of yu as you go through the door at the end of Gun 1's tunnel.
Gun 3:
Gun 3 might be a bit deeper into the complex. But it's where the servers are. The tall grey metal blocks sprouting over a dark pit. The gun is mounted over a door leading into the ramp room. The switch is just on the right of the door as you go in.
Activating all defences will make them attack endless spawning soldiers which might prompt a good K7 Farming method
Release hostages(A/SA/PA)

Training Veterens should know this. All the hostages are held in the rooms where Joanna did her Training: Gun, Combat and Gadget. Quickly kill the guards as soon as you enter the doors as rescuing Grimshaw at the end ,without losing any of the hostages, and he'll give you a Devastator.
Retrieve experimental weapon (A/SA)

This is found in the Firing Range. The weapon is protected by unbreakable glass. However, to get it, You'll need to interact with the terminal next to it. The glass shatters and you can collect the weapon. This can give you and edge over the Skedar that are present.

Deactivate bomb (A/SA/PA)

There is nothing better than making a lot of noise. The Skedar takes their sanity to a whole new level by putting one of their ships into the Hover-Bike yard and then arming a bomb in it. Fight your way through the Skedar and then use your Data Uplink to install a virus that will fly the ship and have it safely detonate from a safe position.

Complete the mission by making your way back into the Hangar where your ride is waiting... or so you thought...
